Modi govt turning blind eye to people’s hardships in IIOJK: Congress

Jammu: The Congress chapter in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) has strongly criticized the BJP-led Indian government under Narendra Modi for ignoring the hardships faced by the people in the territory.
According to Kashmir Media Service, IIOJK Congress Working President Raman Bhalla, while addressing a public gathering in Jammu, said that the Modi government has failed to tackle pressing day-to-day issues confronting the masses, particularly rising inflation and shortages of essential commodities. He noted that people across IIOJK are reeling under the burden of unprecedented price rise, severely straining household budgets.
Bhalla said the situation has left ordinary people struggling to cope with mounting economic pressure. “From food items to cooking fuel, everything has become costlier. The government has turned a blind eye to the sufferings of the people,” he said, adding that the BJP-led dispensation has been shamelessly safeguarding the interests of big business houses while neglecting the needs of the common man.
He further remarked that since BJP assumed power, the gap between the rich and the poor has widened considerably. “Instead of providing relief to the weaker sections, policies are being framed to benefit a select few, pushing the common masses into deeper financial distress,” he added.
