APHC extends greetings to Pakistani people, government on eve of Pakistan Day

Srinagar : The All Parties Hurriyat Conference leaders and organizations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, while greeting the people as well as the Government of Pakistan on the eve of Pakistan Day to be celebrated tomorrow, have said that Pakistan is a center of hope not only for the Kashmiri people but for the entire Muslim Ummah and all oppressed people around the world.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas and other leaders and organizations, including Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Saleem Zargar, Tehreek-e-Hurriyet, Muslim League JK, Students and Youth Forum, and others, in their statements issued in Srinagar, highlighted the significance of the Pakistan Resolution passed on March 23, 1940.
They said that it was undoubtedly the most important event in the history of South Asia. They added that the Resolution of March 23 gave new energy and courage to the Muslims of the region, who gathered under the leadership of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah on the platform of the All India Muslim League to wage their struggle for freedom. They said the atrocious attitude of the Indian government towards minorities, particularly Muslims, has now amply proved that the demand for a separate homeland for Muslims was justified.
The APHC said the Kashmiri people are highly grateful to the government and people of Pakistan for their continued political, diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmiris’ just struggle for Azaadi from Indian occupation.
The APHC pointed out that the Kashmiris’ struggle is a continuation of the Pakistan Movement and that they draw inspiration from the historic Resolution of March 23, 1940. The statement reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to continue their struggle for the liberation of Jammu and Kashmir from India’s forcible occupation and its merger with Pakistan.
