Blast near former sarpanch’s house in Samba

Jammu: A mysterious explosion occurred near a residential property in a Samba district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the mysterious explosion occurred near the main gate of the residential house of former sarpanch Jai Ram Sharma in Gawala Talab village, located in the Ghagwal area of district, officials said.

The blast uprooted the main gate and damaged a portion of the boundary wall, but no casualties were reported, officials said.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility, and authorities have not ruled out any possibility, including the use of an explosive device or other causes, pending forensic analysis.

Locals in the area reported hearing a loud explosion during the night, which caused panic in the otherwise quiet village. However, no injuries were reported among the occupants of the house or nearby residents.

Pertinently, Indian govt have deployed around 350 personnel of the Special Operations Group (SOG) and seven additional Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) battalions in the mountainous areas, dense forests near Line of Control and Jammu region.
