Civil society pays glowing tributes to martyred Abdul Majeed Dar

Srinagar: The civil society Jammu Kashmir, has paid rich tributes to noted freedom leader, Abdul Majeed Dar on his 23th martyrdom anniversary.

According to Kashmir Media Service, prominent liberation leader, Abdul Majeed Dar was martyred by unknown attackers outside his house in Sopore town on this day in 2003.

The civil society members in a statement in Srinagar said that martyred Abdul Majeed Dar had played an important role in the liberation movement of Kashmir since form his young age. They demanded an international probe to all killings of leaders, activists and massacres in the territory.

They also congratulated the government and people of Pakistan on the Pakistan Day and thanked Pakistan for its continued support to the Kashmiris in their struggle for freedom from India.

Meanwhile, All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leader and Chairman of the Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) Altaf Ahmed Butt in a statement paid solemn tributes to Abdul Majeed Dar and all martyrs of Kashmir who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and dignity of their homeland.

Remembering Abdul Majeed Dar on his martyrdom anniversary, he said that he was among those leaders who dedicated their entire lives to the cause of self-determination. He described Dar as a determined and influential figure whose political vision and sacrifices became an enduring part of the Kashmir freedom movement.
