Hindutva mob vandalises Muslim homes in Assam

Guwahati: A Hindutva mob vandalised the homes of Muslims in BJP-ruled Assam state.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the mob violence erupted in Nayasara village of Kokrajhar district after suspected beef and animal remains were discovered in the courtyard of a resident’s house. It is believed that this was part of a conspiracy by BJP, RSS, VHP and Bajrang Dal groups to blame the Muslim community and target them.
The mobs attacked and targeted homes of Muslim families, causing significant property damage in the presence of police personnel.
Villagers said the material was deliberately placed to provoke tension, while others suggested it might have been carried by animals from a nearby wedding feast.
Despite the ambiguity, an agitated mob gathered and vandalised several Muslim households. Videos circulating on social media showed groups tearing down structures, throwing objects and causing extensive damage, even as police stood by.
