APHC urges world to take action against India’s brutalities on Kashmiris
International Day of Conscience

Srinagar, April 05 (KMS): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has appealed to the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and global human rights bodies to take cognizance of the worst brutalities being perpetrated by Indian forces against oppressed Kashmiris in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, on the occasion of the “International Day of Conscience,” expressed serious concern over the ongoing Indian occupation, atrocities, and the miserable plight of unlawfully detained Kashmiris. He urged the international community to press India to release the detainees immediately.
The statement emphasized the need to safeguard the rights and dignity of every individual, encourage dialogue and negotiation over conflict, and promote the open exchange of ideas—rights which the Indian BJP regime continues to deny the oppressed people of IIOJK.
Minhas strongly denounced the callous attitude of Indian authorities towards Kashmiri prisoners, noting that detainees are routinely deprived of hygienic food and adequate medical care. He saluted their determination, steadfastness, and passion, highlighting that they are making unprecedented sacrifices in the struggle for self-determination.
The APHC deplored that the Hindutva-dominated BJP government is determined to impose its extremist agenda and alter the demography of IIOJK. The spokesman said that the BJP regime is promoting alcohol and drug consumption to undermine Kashmiri youth and divert them from the ongoing freedom movement.
He warned that every aspect of life for Muslims in IIOJK remains under assault by the BJP’s Hindutva regime. He called on the people to remain vigilant against Indian conspiracies and demonstrate unity to resist them.
The spokesman further said that the BJP regime’s unilateral actions on August 5, 2019, opened a more brutal chapter in Kashmir’s history. He asserted that every action by India is aimed at eroding the culture, language, and religious identity of Muslims. Comparing the BJP’s policies in IIOJK to Israel’s actions in occupied Palestine, he said the regime has intensified state terrorism to suppress Kashmiris’ freedom movement.
Minhas concluded that Indian brutalities will only strengthen the resolve of Kashmiri Muslims to resist illegal occupation and continue their struggle for self-determination.
