Condolences continue to pour in over demise of mother of Butt brothers

Islamabad:Senior Hurriyat leaders have expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of the mother of incarcerated Hurriyat leader Zafar Akbar Butt and APHC-AJK leader Altaf Ahmed Butt.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Vice President of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, in a condolence statement, extended his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.

He said that the deceased had endured immense hardships and trials during the ongoing turbulent situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, particularly due to the continued incarceration of her son.

Saghar paid tribute to the family’s longstanding contribution to the Kashmir freedom movement, stating that it stands as a symbol of resilience and steadfastness.

He also visited the residence of Altaf Ahmed Butt in Islamabad to personally offer condolences and express solidarity with the bereaved family.

Meanwhile, APHC leaders in Srinagar, including Yasmeen Raja and Muslim Students Federation (MSF) President Dr Qamar-uz-Zaman Zargar, along with others, also expressed deep sorrow and extended their condolences to Zaffar Akbar Butt and Altaf Ahmed Butt over the passing of their mother in Srinagar.
