APHC condoles death of Ghulam Mohammad Bakhshi, others
Srinagar: All Parties Hurriyat Conference has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of an esteemed religious leader Ghulam Muhammad Bakhshi in Srinagar of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Ghulam Muhammad Bakhshi was father of Hurriyat leader Shakeel Ahmad Bakhshi, Showkat Bakhshi and martyred Shariq Bakhshi .
APHC spokesman, Abdul Rashid Minhas, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Dr Musaib, Javeed Ahmed Mir, Maulana Musiab Nadvi, Imtiaz Reshi and others have paid high tributes to the deceased for his contribution to Kashmir cause.
A delegation of Hurriyat leaders also visited the house of the deceased and expressed condolences with the bereaved family members.
Meanwhile, the APHC-AJK chapter expressed deep sorrow and condolences on the death of Shakeel Ahmad Bakhshi’s father, Hurriyat activist Fayaz Ahmad Wani’s wife, and Hurriyat activist Hamidullah Khuroo’s nephew. In a condolence meeting chaired by Convenor Ghulam Mohammad Safi, it was stated that death is an inevitable truth from which no living being can escape. Safi emphasized that Muslims believe death is not the end of life but a transition from one phase to another.
The meeting prayed for the elevation of the deceased’s ranks and for patience and strength for the bereaved families.
Senior Hurriyat leaders, including Mohammad Farooq Rehmani, Mahmood Ahmad Saghar, Advocate Parvez Ahmad, Altaf Hussain Wani, Shamim Shawl, Imtiaz Wani, Zahid Safi, Amir Abbasi, Zahoor Ahmad, and others, participated in the meeting.
Furthermore, the leaders of the APHC AJK chapter, including Mohammad Farooq Rehmani, Mahmood Ahmad Saghar, Rafiq Ahmad Dar, Aijaz Rehmani, Zahid Ashraf and others, in their separate statements, also expressed their sorrow at the passing of Ghulam Mohammad Bakhshi. They acknowledged him as a respected religious scholar from Srinagar, whose religious services will always be remembered in the history of Kashmir.
Muhammad Farooq Rehmani said that he was a steadfast and courageous leader and stood firmly and resiliently in face of every hardship even after the martyrdom of his youngest son Shariq Bakhshi in 1990s. Allah bless him in his life here-after and grant extra courage and patience to the bereaved family.
