APHC-AJK lauds Pakistan’s hectic role in brokering Iran-US ceasefire

Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference-Azad Kashmir chapter has praised Pakistan’s role in brokering the ceasefire between the US and Iran, saying it’s a significant achievement for global peace.
According to Kashmir Media Service, a meeting in this regard was held at APHC-AJK office in Islamabad, today with its convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi in chair. The participants of the meeting on the occasion stated that Pakistan’s timely and effective mediation has prevented a potentially devastating war, showcasing its commitment to peace and diplomacy.
The meeting on the occasion urged India to engage in meaningful talks to resolve the Kashmir dispute, emphasizing that lasting peace in South Asia depends on a fair resolution of this dispute.
Meanwhile, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, Acting President of the Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, in a statement also praised Pakistan’s role in brokering a ceasefire between the US and Iran, calling it a historic diplomatic achievement. He credited Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir’s tireless efforts for averting a catastrophic war that could have devastated the Middle East and Gulf states.
