Modi’s pro-Israel policy in Gulf war raising questions on India’s sovereignty

New Delhi: Modi’s pro-Israel policy in the Gulf War is raising questions on India’s sovereignty.

According to Kashmir Media Service, international media outlets say that India’s unclear foreign policy on the Iran issue is under severe criticism. India has betrayed its long-time friend Iran and stabbed it in the back.

They said that India had been buying cheap oil from Iran for years and calling it its close friend, but under pressure from the US, it sided with Israel and stood with Netanyahu a few days before the war to express solidarity with Israel.

The international media outlets said that India did not even condemn the brutal assassination of Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei or express condolences to Iran.

They said that Pakistan played an important role in the Iran-US talks, while Indian diplomacy was completely silent. Modi only talked to US President Donald Trump about oil and supply systems, they added.

They said that Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar’s visit to the United Arab Emirates was also limited to contacts and assurances.

The close partnership between China and Pakistan has dealt a serious blow to India’s so-called importance in the region and after excellent relations with Pakistan, it has become difficult for the US to trust India, they maintained.
