Retired army man found hanging from tree in Kupwara
Srinagar: The body of a retired Indian army man was found hanging from a tree in Kupwara district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the deceased was identified as Riyaz Ahmad Badana (45), a resident of Hatchmarg village in Handwara.
Police said a team brought down the body, which was sent for medico-legal formalities. A case has been registered and an investigation is underway, officials added.
Observers said the incident reflects the prevailing atmosphere of uncertainty and stress in the occupied territory.
