‘Modi-led Indian govt fails to fulfill its global responsibilities’

New Delhi: The Modi government, after paralyzing the Indian economy and administrative machinery, has also proven its incompetence and failure at the global level.

According to Kashmir Media Service, a report by the international news agency, Reuters, said the Indian government has withdrawn its offer to host the United Nations World Environment Conference (COP33) 2028.

According to the Indian newspaper, India Today, this decision has proven to be a U-turn by the Modi government because earlier the government had offered to host the conference in 2028 at the conference held in Dubai in 2023.

This decision is not limited to the cancellation of an event but is also a major blow to India’s reputation. India has already ignored two deadlines for submitting its national environmental targets for 2035.

According to international experts, withdrawing from hosting the conference is raising serious questions about climate change improvement measures and India’s claims to the Global South.

It should be noted that the Indian capital, New Delhi, is one of the most polluted cities in the world due to severe air pollution and is also damaging the environment of the entire region.
