BJP’s full machinery won’t win Bengal: Mamata

Kolkata: Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee has said the BJP has deployed “almost the entire central cabinet and CMs of 19 NDA-ruled states” to defeat her party in Bengal polls, with “50 helicopters flying in.”

According to Kashmir Media Service, Mamta contrasted this with TMC’s three helicopters, adding “all this hype will end in a whimper on May 4.” She slammed Amit Shah’s remark that “TMC-aided goons would be hung upside down,” calling it “language of terror.”

She also termed PM Modi’s Hooghly boat ride “scripted.”

Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said at Serampore that the Modi government filed 36 cases against him and took his house and LS membership, but filed none against Mamata. “For how many hours was Mamata Banerjee interrogated?” he asked, claiming she “does not fight BJP directly.” Gandhi alleged Banerjee “destroyed industry” and that “only Congress can defeat BJP.” He said, “Mamata Banerjee is opening the road for BJP in Bengal.”
