‘Punjab will never forget traitors’: Sanjay Singh slams BJP’s ‘Operation Lotus’

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh has accused the BJP of orchestrating ‘Operation Lotus’ after party MP Raghav Chadha quit the AAP, saying “Punjab will never forget traitors.”

According to Kashmir Media Service, Sanjay Singh in a statement said, “The BJP has done the work of obstructing the good works done by Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann-led AAP government”. He alleged that the BJP was attempting to destabilize the AAP government in Punjab through defections.

“Punjab will never forget traitors,” Singh added, without naming Chadha directly. Raghav Chadha, a Rajya Sabha MP and senior AAP leader from Punjab, has reportedly quit the party. Details of his resignation and future plans were not immediately available. Singh claimed the BJP’s ‘Operation Lotus’ was aimed at toppling opposition governments.

The AAP has repeatedly accused the BJP of using central agencies and inducements to engineer defections in states where it is in power.
