Two cloudbursts trigger flash floods, block roads in Kishtwar

Jammu: Two cloudbursts struck Kishtwar district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, triggering flash floods and road blockades in several areas.
According to Kashmir Media Service, officials said the cloudbursts occurred in Gahan area of Sarthal and Machhipal. No loss of life or property has been reported so far.
District administration officials said flash floods accompanied by heavy debris affected the Vrikshala-Trofik stretch, Machhipal, Saroor area and the Sarthal village road.
Restoration operations have been launched and machinery deployed for road clearance.
Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Pankaj Sharma urged residents to avoid nallahs and other water bodies, warning that continuing rainfall could trigger further weather-related incidents. The administration has issued an advisory and activated its 24×7 control room.
