Imam forced to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram in Maharashtra

Mumbai: The Hindutva outfit attackers forced a Muslim religious leader to chant Hindu slogans in Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-ruled Maharashtra state of India.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in the disturbing incident, a Hindutva group surrounded and coerced a Muslim religious leader and imam Hafiz Qasam to chant “Jai Shri Ram” in Jalgaon district of the state.
Hafiz Qasam, a resident of Marul village in Yawal taluka, had gone to nearby Parola village to lead prayers. On his way back, he was reportedly intercepted by four or five Hindutva goons who forced him to raise the Hindutva slogans.
The group filmed it and widely circulated the video on social media platforms.
All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) national spokesperson Waris Pathan has strongly condemned the incident.
