Rajouri cordon and search operation enters 22nd day

Jammu : The Indian forces’ massive cordon and search operation has entered its 22nd consecutive day, today, in Rajouri district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, despite deploying thousands of troops, helicopters, drones, sniffer dogs and para commandos since May 23, the Indian Army, along with paramilitary forces and so-called Village Defence Guards, have failed to achieve any significant success even after three weeks of relentless military action in the Dori Maal forest area of Gambhir Mughalan in the district.

The forces have further tightened the cordon around the forest zone and intensified extensive search operations, turning the entire area into a virtual war zone.

Repeated door-to-door searches and heavy troop movement have completely disrupted normal life, leaving local residents in a state of constant fear, uncertainty and severe hardship.

The prolonged military siege once again exposes the limitations of India’s much-hyped anti-resistance operations and its increasing reliance on brute force to suppress the Kashmiri people.
