Kupwara’s Sochalyari village craves for mobile connectivity in age of 5G

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, residents of Sochalyari village in Kupwara’s Handwara area have complained of complete lack of mobile connectivity, saying they are facing severe hardships in the modern age of digital communication.

According to Kashmir Media Service, locals said that while people around the world have access to 5G mobile internet, Sochalyari continues to remain without basic mobile signal.

“We have to walk several kilometers to reach a specific place where our mobiles catch a signal, following which we make a call at the time of emergency. Rest of the time our mobiles are mere playing gadgets,” a local resident said. He said students are the worst hit due to the absence of connectivity.

“The students of our area face most of the brunt due to lack of mobile connectivity. Students of different classes aren’t able to clear their doubts online, and even those preparing for different SSB posts are suffering due to lack of mobile internet,” he added.

The residents have appealed to the concerned authorities to address the issue on priority so that the hardships being faced by the village can end.
