APHC rejects India’s fake development narrative in IIOJK

Srinagar: All Parties Hurriyat Conference has rejected India’s projection of development and progress in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, calling it a deliberate attempt to mislead the international community and justify continued occupation.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC spokesman, Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas while addressing the reality on the ground under the said the Modi regime is publishing fake reports of so-called peace and development in Kashmir to influence global opinion.
“New Delhi is attempting to present an image of normalcy in Kashmir while the territory remains the world’s most militarized zone,” the he said. “Under the guise of development, the Modi regime is opening IIOJK to Indian corporate interests and using economic narratives to mask military occupation.”He said economic development in IIOJK remains a façade as long as Indian military occupation continues. “How peace and development can happen when Kashmir has been turned into an open-air prison and surveillance state,” he asked.
The APHC spokesman reiterated that the principal demand of Kashmiris remains a UN-backed plebiscite, not externally imposed development projects. “Kashmiris are not against peace and development, but they seek freedom from Indian occupation as their foremost goal.
No amount of corporate investment or fake statistics can replace the right to self-determination,” he added. The statement comes as India continues to promote infrastructure and investment initiatives in IIOJK while large-scale military presence and restrictions remain in place across the territory.
