Journalists delegation visits APHC-AJK office in Islamabad

Congratulates newly elected office-holders

Islamabad : A delegation of journalists led by Finance Secretary Abid Abbasi of National Press Club, Islamabad, visited the office of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter in Islamabad and greeted the newly elected leadership of the organization.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the delegation congratulated the APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, General Secretary Advocate Pervaiz Ahmed and Information Secretary Imtiaz Wani on their election and hoped that under their leadership the organization will highlight the Kashmir dispute more effectively at the national and international levels.

During the meeting, Abid Abbasi said all parties should adopt the path of tolerance, forbearance and constructive dialogue to promote peace, stability and harmony in the region. He said that the right of representation of the refugees of Jammu and Kashmir in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly should be maintained at all costs, because the refugees of Jammu and Kashmir are the real parties and representatives of the Kashmir dispute.

He said effective representation of the refugees plays an important role in highlighting the Kashmir dispute at the national and international levels and further strengthens the voice of the Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination.

Ghulam Muhammad Safi on the occasion said that all parties should demonstrate responsibility and adopt the path of dialogue, tolerance and understanding to resolve the issues.

He said that a lasting solution to the current problems is possible only through dialogue, mutual respect and understanding.

He stressed that peaceful dialogue is the best and most effective way out of the current situation in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

The delegation included senior journalists Sardar Imran Azam, Rashid Yaqoob Khan and Abdul Latif Dar.
