Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that the Modi-led India government is systematically advancing an anti-Kashmir agenda through arbitrary measures aimed at disempowering the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement issued in Srinagar said since August 5, 2019, New Delhi has pursued policies designed to strip Kashmiris of their political, constitutional, economic and cultural rights. He described it as a “systematic campaign” to erode the territory’s distinct identity and Muslim-majority character.
“Every section of Kashmiri society—irrespective of class, sect or region—is being targeted by the Hindutva-driven agenda of the BJP-RSS,” the spokesman said. He maintained that India is illegally altering IIOJK’s demography in violation of UN resolutions and international law, with the ultimate aim of reviving a Hindu-majority profile in the Muslim-majority territory. He said the BJP-RSS ideology seeks to dismantle Kashmir’s historical identity and impose a new political reality through settler-colonial tactics, property laws, and demographic engineering.
The APHC spokesman urged Kashmiris to resist the “Hindutva-driven assault” and defend their land, identity and rights. He also called on the international community to take serious notice of the Modi regime’s policies in IIOJK and hold India accountable under UN resolutions. KMS-14K
