Kashmiris being humiliated, caged with impunity in IIOJK: APHC

#SouthAsiaPeace

Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has said that lasting peace in South Asia is impossible without the just resolution of the Kashmir
Dispute.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar, urged the United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, to take cognizance of the grave situation prevailing in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, where people are being humiliated and caged with impunity by the BJP-led Indian government.

He termed the prevailing situation in IIOJK as extremely critical, where arbitrary detentions, harassment by Indian forces, and the systematic deprivation of local rights by the puppet regime have become routine.

He said regional stability depends on addressing the Kashmir dispute in line with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people, adding that the BJP regime cannot silence their rightful struggle for self-determination.

Referring to the heart-wrenching mass rape incidents committed by Indian forces in Kunan-Poshpora and Chek Saidpura, the APHC said these horrendous acts of sexual violence continue to bruise the hearts and souls of Kashmiris. The Kunan-Poshpora incident, one of the most horrific crimes, shook the Kashmir Valley when it took place on February 23, 1991.
