Hindutva man openly calls for genocide of Muslims in UP

Ghaziabad: A Hindutva activist’s open call for “genocide” of Muslims in a video from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh has sparked widespread outrage and renewed concerns over rising communal hate speech in India.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Anil Yadav, notorious for anti-Muslim rhetoric, is heard saying: “Islam’s end will come through genocide, and whoever starts it first will be victorious.” Rights activists and netizens described the remarks as explicit incitement to violence and genocide against the minority community.
Critics said Yadav’s reference to the 1947 Partition to target present-day Muslims is deeply dangerous and risks further inflaming communal tensions. Social media users urged Ghaziabad Police to take immediate action, with one writing: “Openly inciting the genocide of an entire community surely falls under terrorism. Aren’t sections like RASA and UAPA enough for such people?”
Activists argued that calls for genocide cannot be dismissed as provocative speech and must be treated seriously for public peace and social harmony.
The call has reignited concerns over growing extreme communal rhetoric in public discourse. Legal action has been sought against Yadav for the provocative video, with civil society members pressing authorities to register a case under relevant hate speech and anti-terror laws.
