Anjuman Sharie Shian denounces travel ban on its President Agha Syed Hassan to Tehran

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Anjuman Sharie Shian has condemned the prevention of its President Agha Syed Hassan Al-Mosvi Al-Safvi, from travelling to Tehran to attend the funeral ceremonies of the Iran supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Anjuman Sharie Shian spokesperson in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Agha Syed Hassan Al-Mosvi Al-Safvi was scheduled to depart for the Islamic Republic of Iran, in response to an official invitation extended by the concerned Iranian authorities to participate in the solemn funeral rites of the late Supreme Leader.
The spokesperson said that officials of the Bureau of Immigration stopped the senior religious leader at the New Delhi airport, reportedly seized his passport, and prevented him from boarding the flight despite his possession of all requisite travel documents, including a valid passport, visa, and confirmed travel arrangements.
“No explanation or written order was furnished to justify the action,” the statement said.
The Anjuman has called upon the authorities concerned to immediately clarify the circumstances under which this action was taken and urged them to act with transparency, fairness, and in accordance with the principles of justice and the rule of law, while respecting the dignity and rights of religious leaders.
