IIOJK: Gathering at Budgam imambargah, tributes paid to martyred leader Ali Khamenei
Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Anjuman Sharie Shian today organized a dignified gathering at the Central Imambargah in Budgam on the occasion of the burial of the former Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in which a large number of scholars, reverends, local dignitaries and devotees participated.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the gathering was presided over by the President of Anjuman Sharie Shian Syed Hassan Al-Mousvi Al-Safvi and it began with the recitation from the Holy Quran for the reward and elevation of the martyred leader.
Later, the central reverends of the association presented an elegy and paid rich tribute to the martyred leader for his steadfastness, Islamic awakening, unity of the Muslim Ummah, truth and justice and support for oppressed nations.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, a senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, also participated in the ceremony. In his speech, he said that the main message of the life of the martyred Supreme Leader is unity of the nation, perseverance, truth and justice, and support for the oppressed.
He condemned the Indian move to prevent Agha Syed Hassan from going to Iran to attend the funeral prayer of the martyred leader and to confiscate his passport and other travel documents.
In his speech, Agha Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi considered the martyred Supreme Leader among the greatest religious, intellectual, and revolutionary figures of the modern era and said that he demonstrated unparalleled perseverance in supporting the truth, justice, honor of the nation, and oppressed nations, especially Palestine, throughout his life.
He said the resistance movement has not weakened but has become stronger with martyrdom, and the thoughts, message, sacrifice, and perseverance of the Supreme Leader will remain a beacon for those who struggle against freedom, honor, self-control, and oppression throughout the world.
He said the historic, unprecedented and enthusiastic participation of millions of people in the funeral prayers, funeral procession and burial of the martyred Supreme Leader in Tehran, Qom, Najaf, Karbala and Mashhad is clear evidence that the thoughts of the martyred Supreme Leader are still alive in the hearts of the Muslim Ummah.
At the end of the ceremony to pay tribute to the martyred Supreme Leader, a grand peaceful procession was taken out from the Central Imambargah, Budgam, under the leadership of Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, in which hundreds of devotees participated.
