Modi govt trying to erase history of Muslims’ sacrifices: Ruhullah Mehdi
Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, National Conference leader and member of Lok Sabha, lower house of Indian parliament, from Srinagar Agha Syed Ruhullah Mehdi has said that Modi’s government is trying to erase the history of sacrifices of Muslims.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Agha Ruhullah Mehdi, while talking to journalists in Shopian district, said during Modi’s rule, wherever Muslims have made sacrifices in any form in history, an attempt is being made to forget these sacrifices.
He said in case of an attack on democracy, the sacrifices of the martyrs will always be remembered. He said whenever there is an attempt to harm democracy and democratic values, the sacrifices of those who sacrificed their lives to protect it are remembered.
Regarding the restoration of statehood in Jammu and Kashmir, Agha Ruhullah Mehdi said wherever there is a fight for Article 370, he will be at the forefront. He added that the increase in outsourcing of government jobs of Kashmiris and concerns related to land security are issues that need urgent attention.
