APHC-AJK presents memorandum to military observers in Muzaffarabad

Muzaffarabad: On the occasion of Kashmir Martyrs’ Day, All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter, in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell, marched to the office of the United Nations Military Observer Group in Muzaffarabad and presented a memorandum to the military observers.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Secretary of Kashmir Cause Syed Shahid Mohiuddin and Spokesperson of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Government, Shaukat Javed Mir led the march.

The participants submitted a memorandum to the United Nations Military Observer Group, drawing the attention of the United Nations to the serious human rights violations being committed by Indian forces in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The memorandum urged the UN to ensure the implementation of its resolutions on the Kashmir dispute and take effective steps to stop the ongoing human rights violations in the occupied territory.

All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter General Secretary Pervez Ahmed Shah, Dr Raja Sajjad Khan, Sardar Sajid Mahmood, Chaudhry Shaheen Iqbal, Sheikh Yaqoob, Manzoor Shah, Zahid Ashraf, Syed Gulshan Ahmed, Abdul Majeed Mir, Mushtaq-ul-Islam and other speakers, while addressing the march, reiterated their demand that the Kashmir dispute be resolved peacefully in accordance with the United Nations resolutions.

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Cell and the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir also took out a protest rally at Lal Chowk in Muzaffarabad on the occasion of Kashmir Martyrs’ Day.

A rally was taken out in Patka in Muzaffarabad under the Pasban Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir to pay tribute to the martyrs of 1931.

A large number of citizens participated in the rally and raised slogans in favour of the martyrs of Kashmir.

On this occasion, the speakers paid rich tribute to the martyrs of 13 July 1931 and reiterated the resolve to free Jammu and Kashmir from the illegal occupation of India.

The rally was led by Pasban Hurriyat Chairman Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, Usman Ali Hashim, businessman Rashid Abbasi, Nadeem Abbasi and Maulana Abdul Basit Alvi.
