Mehbooba Mufti voices concern over Doda civilian killing, seeks impartial probe

Srinagar : Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti has expressed deep concern over the killing of a civilian by Indian forces in Doda district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), describing the incident as deeply disturbing and calling for a swift and impartial investigation to establish the facts and ensure accountability.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mehbooba Mufti, in a post on X, referred to reports stating that the civilian, Arif Hussain, was first stabbed and later shot dead by Indian forces.
Describing the incident as “deeply disturbing”, she said the administration must act swiftly to ascertain the facts and ensure accountability.
Mehbooba Mufti also expressed concern over the suspension of internet services across the district following the incident.
