IIOJK: 13 years on, victims of Gool massacre still await justice

Jammu: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), the Jammu-based civil society members have said that the families of 14 Kashmiris martyred in the Gool massacre continue to await justice despite the passage of 13 years.
According to Kashmir Media Service, on this day in 2013, Indian troops martyred 14 unarmed civilians in Gool area of Ramban district after they protested against the desecration of Holy Quran.
The civil society members said that India was killing innocent people in IIOJK but it would never succeed in suppressing the Kashmiris’ ongoing freedom movement, as people remain steadfast in their resolve to continue their struggle for the realization of their aspirations.
They appealed to the United Nations and other international human rights organizations to take notice of the grave crimes against humanity being committed by India in the occupied territory and play their role in ensuring the Kashmiri people are granted their birthright to self-determination in accordance with the relevant UN resolutions.
