Indian police officer collapses, dies in Kupwara

Srinagar: An Indian police officer died in Kupwara district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, a police Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) died after collapsing while on duty in the Mawer area of Handwara in Kupwara district.
Officials said the ASI suddenly collapsed while performing his duties in Mawer and was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Preliminary reports suggest that the officer suffered a cardiac arrest, although the exact cause of death will be confirmed after the completion of the necessary medico-legal formalities.
The identity of the deceased had not been officially disclosed until the filing of this report. Police have initiated proceedings in the matter.
