Heavy rain shuts Srinagar-Jammu Highway
Jammu: Traffic on the Srinagar-Jammu Highway was suspended from both sides near Dawal Bridge in Udhampur district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir on Monday evening after heavy rainfall caused slush and made the road unsafe for vehicular movement.
According to Kashmir Media Service, officials said the highway has been reduced to a single carriageway at the Dawal slide point in Samroli area, where the road surface turned muddy and slippery following the rain, they said.
