World urged to prevent Indian state terrorism in IIOJK
Rich tributes paid to martyr commander Ali Muhammad Dar
Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has appealed to the peace-loving and democratic world to stop the Indian BJP government from violating international laws and norms in the UN-recognized disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar, also hailed Pakistan’s unequivocal and unprecedented support to the Kashmir cause and described it as a source of strength and encouragement for the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The APHC also paid rich tributes to martyred pro-freedom leader Ali Muhammad Dar alias Burhanuddin Hijazi on his 28th martyrdom anniversary today.
The statement said that Ali Muhammad Dar was a police officer but he left the job for the better political future of Kashmir and joined the freedom movement. Ali Muhammad Dar was martyred by the Indian army in Srinagar on this day, August 09, 1998. The APHC reiterated Kashmiris’ pledge to continue the mission of Sheikh Abdul Aziz, Ali Muhammad Dar and other martyrs till complete freedom from Indian subjugation.
Meanwhile, the APHC-AJK chapter, in a statement, announced that it would organise protest rallies, seminars and public gatherings in honour of its martyred leader of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League, Sheikh Abdul Aziz, on his 18th martyrdom anniversary. Sheikh Abdul Aziz was martyred by Indian forces on August 11, 2008, while he was leading a procession from Srinagar to the Line of Control against the economic blockade of the Kashmir Valley by Hindutva Hindu extremists based in Jammu.
