9 killed in massive fire at Kolkata hotel, foul play suspected
Kolkata : At least nine people were killed and six injured in a massive fire at a hotel in BJP-ruled West Bengal, with police saying foul play is suspected.
According to Kashmir Media Service, at least nine people, including a four-year-old child, died and six were injured in an early Wednesday fire at a dingy five-storey building on Mirza Ghalib Street in central Kolkata that housed several hotels, police said.
The Fire Department said the identities of those killed have yet to be established.
The deceased include mostly Bangladeshi nationals.
