Indian forces arrest youth in Baramulla, launch operation in Rajouri district

Srinagar: Indian forces arrested a youth in Baramulla district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and launched a cordon-and-search operation in Rajouri district.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian forces arrested a youth during a search operation at Wussan Bangil in the Kunzer area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Meanwhile, Indian forces launched a cordon-and-search operation in the Nowshera area of Rajouri district after troops detected suspicious movement on Wednesday evening. Amid heightened alert, multiple gunshots were also heard in the area. It was not immediately clear whether the firing came from one side or both sides, reports said.

Separately, the Indian Army-controlled Village Defence Guard (VDG) opened fire after observing suspicious movement in Meira village of Rajouri district. Officials said VDG members observed suspicious movement in the village this morning and fired several rounds into the air.

Soon after the incident, Indian forces launched a cordon-and-search operation in the area.
