Lucknow: In yet another incident of targeting Muslims in BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh, a 40-year-old Muslim biryani seller was assaulted by Hindutva members in Lucknow.
Rizwan, a resident of Kasai Mohalla in Mahona who runs a biryani stall near Badi Masjid, was carrying meat for his stall in Itaunja area when three Bajrang Dal members stopped him, abused and assaulted him, and threatened to kill him accusing him of carrying beef.
A video circulating on social media shows Rizwan being pushed to the ground and beaten. He suffered injuries to his head and face and was shifted to hospital for treatment.
