Minor among two injured in Langkho village drone attack: NSCN-K (YA)

Dimapur: The National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN-K) (Yung Aung) has said that two civilians, including a nine-year-old girl, were seriously injured in a drone attack by the “Indian occupational army” on Langkho village in the Eastern Konyak Region .

According to Kashmir Media Service, the NSCN-K (YA) in a statement condemned the attack as “cowardly and indiscriminate” and said it amounted to a crime against humanity and a blatant violation of international humanitarian law.

It said the attack targeted civilians “who have nothing to do with armed conflict” and said it as an escalation by the Indian military. It claimed that civilians were being punished out of “battlefield frustration.”

The group appealed to the United Nations and international monitoring bodies to condemn the incident and act on it. “The world must not remain silent when innocent public and children become victims of armed conflict,” it said.

The NSCN-K (YA) also issued a warning to “Naga proxy groups and individuals” saying it is “providing intelligence and logistical support to Indian agencies.”

The group said it remained committed to protecting the Naga people, their land and freedom, and expressed solidarity with the families of the injured and the residents of Langkho.
