Indian BSF constable dies of cardiac arrest in Poonch

Srinagar: An Indian Border Security Force (BSF) constable died of cardiac arrest in Poonch district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The constable died of cardiac arrest at District Hospital Poonch on Monday morning.

The constable, according to officials, complained of chest pain and was taken to the hospital, where he collapsed after suffering a cardiac arrest. He later succumbed during treatment.

Medico-legal formalities are underway, after which the body will be handed over to the family.

Health experts have blamed long duty hours for rising sudden deaths among forces. Lack of leave, stressful working environment and attitude of high-ups worsen crisis. They said such conditions lead to increasing incidents of fratricides and suicides among Indian forces personnel deployed in the occupied territory.
