Modi regime constitutes so-called tribunal to get legal cover for JKML ban
New Delhi: In order to get a legal cover for its decision to ban Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League headed by APHC Chairman Masarrat Aalam Butt, the Narendra Modi-led Indian government has constituted a so-called tribunal consisting of a handpicked Delhi High Court judge for the purpose.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the JKML was declared outlawed by the Modi government on December 27 under the draconian law Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 for five years.
The organisation was declared banned for its pro-freedom activities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
