Yasin Malik could be targeted as scapegoat for Modi’s election victory, fears Mushaal, Hurriyat leaders
Islamabad: Special Assistant to Prime Minister for Human Rights and Women Empowerment Mushaal Hussein Mullick has reiterated Pakistan’s firm support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the eve of Kashmir Solidarity Day.
The day serves as a poignant reminder that the struggle against Indian illegal occupation continues.
Addressing a joint press conference alongside APHCAJK leaders Mehmood Ahmad Saghar, Farooq Rehmani, Ghulam Muhammad Safi and Shaikh Abdul Mateen, she said that Kashmir Solidarity Day serves as a reminder that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are not alone in their struggle against the Indian illegal occupation.
Mushaal and Hurriyat leaders highlighted the challenges faced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir, who are perceived as a barrier against Modi’s attempts to create an Akhand Bharat. The statement characterized the Indian and Israeli regimes as significant threats to world peace, drawing parallels between the situations in Kashmir and Palestine.
Expressing deep concern over the situation in the Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), Mushaal raised issues of unjust incarceration of political leaders and the ban on representative political parties. She voiced fears that her husband, Mohammad Yasin Malik, could be unfairly targeted as a scapegoat for Modi’s electoral triumph.
Mushaal accused India of actively altering the demographics of IIOJK and emphasized the need for international intervention. She also highlighted India’s involvement in acts of terrorism within Pakistan, urging the global community to curb the expansion of the RSS terror network.
The Special Assistant to the Prime Minister mentioned the establishment of the Kashmir Consultative Committee and collaborative efforts with the Higher Education Commission to raise awareness about the Kashmir issue at various levels. The initiatives aim to garner support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir in their quest for self-determination.
