Congress IIOJK chief stresses need to defeat BJP’s communal agenda
Jammu: Vikar Rasool Wani, President of Congress chapter of occupied Jammu and Kashmir has stressed the need for exposing the Bharatiya Janata Party’s misrule and defeating its divisive agenda in the forthcoming elections.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in his address to a party meeting in Banihal area of Ramban district, Wani underscored the imperative for party members to actively engage with the electorate to unveil the BJP’s mismanagement and divisive tactics.
“We must unite against any forces attempting to sow discord among communities,” urged Wani, emphasizing the need for communal harmony and solidarity.
Highlighting the BJP’s governance failures, Wani asserted, “The BJP’s tenure has been marred by broken promises and policies that have failed to address the genuine needs of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.”
Wani lamented the adverse impact of BJP-led policies on various sectors, noting that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have endured a decade of deprivation under BJP rule, stripped of statehood and denied their rights to employment and land.
“Challenges such as property tax, toll plazas, smart meters, and soaring unemployment rates have exacerbated the plight of the people,” Wani remarked, emphasizing the urgent need for change.
Accusing the BJP of advancing a divisive communal agenda, Wani called upon party workers to educate the public and thwart any attempts to undermine the social fabric of the region.
The Congress leader reaffirmed the party’s commitment to fostering unity and resilience against divisive forces, with defeating the BJP’s communal agenda standing as the primary objective.
