Mirwaiz again placed under house detention in Srinagar
Srinagar: The occupation authorities in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir once again put senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house arrest at his residence, today.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the authorities placed senior APHC leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house arrest to prevent him from attending a function in memory of late Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Yousuf Shah in Srinagar.
Anjuman Auqaf in a statement issued in Srinagar, strongly denouncing the repeated house arrest of Mirwaiz, said that he was put under house detention to prevent him from his religious activities in the holy month of Ramadan
The Anjuman said a large gathering of people were expected at the function in memory of late Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Yousuf Shah in Srinagar but he was put under detention at his residence in Srinagar.
