Indian govt continues to commit war crimes in IIOJK: Report

Islamabad: As the world is observing International Day of Non-Violence, today, the day holds no significance for the Kashmiris as Indian government continues to commit war crimes in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

A report released by Kashmir Media Service in connection with day said, the oppressed people of Kashmir continue to face Indian state terrorism, violation of human rights continue in in world’s militarized zone.

Indian forces subject Kashmiris to harassment, arbitrary arrests, and atrocities under draconian laws. The report reveals that 17 Kashmiris were killed by Indian forces in September, adding to the staggering toll of 96,364 since January 1989.

These actions constitute genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes under international law. The report urges the global community, particularly the UN, OIC, and G-20 countries, to intervene and stop India’s military forces and Hindutva BJP/RSS government from violating human rights and international laws in the occupied territory.

The situation in IIOJK has been condemned by various organizations, including Amnesty International. The OIC Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir has also expressed concern over the deteriorating humanitarian and human rights situation. Pakistan has repeatedly called for international intervention to resolve the dispute.
