Suffering humanity in IIOJK needs world’s immediate attention: APHC-AJK
pISLAMABAD: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has said that the suffering humanity in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir requires immediate attention of the international community.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC-AJK chapter convener, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, General Secretary Parvez Ahmed, Information Secretary Mushtaq Ahmed Butt and senior leaders Muhammad Farooq Rahmani, Mahmood Ahmed Saghar and Shamim Shawl in their statements issued in Islamabad, said that today, when the International Human Solidarity Day is being celebrated in the world, the international community, Islamic countries and people who love humanity should pay attention to the plight of the oppressed people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir and express their solidarity with them.
They said India is occupying Jammu and Kashmir unconstitutionally and illegally and has deprived the Kashmiri people of all basic human rights. It is trying to suppress the voice of Kashmiris by force, occupy their lands and houses, and is trying to snatch their identity, they added.
The APHC-AJK leaders said the Modi government is pursuing a nefarious agenda of erasing the Muslim identity of occupied Jammu and Kashmir and turning it into a Hindu majority territory.
They said in such a situation, it is the responsibility of the international community to take notice of the nefarious Indian efforts to erase the identity of the Kashmiris and make them foreigners in their own homeland.
They said that the United Nations should also take notice of the ongoing genocide of the Kashmiris by India and put pressure on the Indian leadership to resolve the lingering Kashmir dispute according to the United Nations resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
