Indian police prevent public from visiting martyr’s home in Kulgam
Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian police forcibly blocked people from visiting the home of Farooq Ahmed, a Kashmiri youth martyred by Indian troops, to express their solidarity.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Farooq Ahmed was martyred along with four other youths in a fake encounter staged during a so-called cordon and search operation in the Kader area of Kulgam district the previous day.
The occupation authorities issued stern warnings, threatening severe repercussions for anyone attempting to visit the martyr Farooq Ahmed’s family. This oppressive move is part of India’s broader strategy to crush the Kashmiri people’s spirit of resistance through intimidation and force.
Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, Secretary Information for the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, and Hurriyat leader Sheikh Abdul Majid strongly condemned this inhumane act. They called it another link in the chain of ongoing crimes against humanity committed by Indian troops in IIOJK. Both leaders asserted that such oppressive actions would not weaken the resolve of the Kashmiri people, adding that the day is not far when the sacrifices of the people of Kashmir will bear fruit, and they will achieve freedom from Indian occupation.
