Mother of jailed Hurriyat leader passes away in IIOJK
Srinagar: The mother of detained Hurriyet leader Maulana Muhammad Shaikh Iqbal passed away in Islamabad district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, last night.
According to Kashmir Media Service, she had been suffering from depression and mental health issues due to continued illegal detention of her son.
Maulana Muhammad Iqbal Shaikh is currently imprisoned in Kothbalwal jail Jammu.
Meanwhile, Hurriyet leaders in their statements extended their condolences to the bereaved family including the detained Hurriyat leader. They condemned the Indian authorities for illegal and inhuman detention policies that continue to inflict suffering on the Kashmiris.
