JI IIOJK strongly disowns BJP-backed panel, warns against disinfo campaign
Srinagar: Jamaat-e-Islami of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has categorically disassociated itself from what it called a newly launched BJP-backed so-called political party.
According to Kashmir Media Service, JI IIOJK, in a strongly worded statement issued in Srinagar, reiterated its unwavering commitment to its core principles and ideology, which, it says, are fundamentally opposed to any alignment with forces that do not reflect the aspirations and values of the people it serves.
Jamaat-e-Islami spokesperson Peer Naseeb-ud-Din Shah denied any involvement—direct or indirect—in the activities, decisions, or political ambitions of the so-called panel or its affiliated party. The organization made it clear that certain elements are attempting to create confusion by falsely associating Jamaat-e-Islami with their activities.
The statement also drew public attention to the role of Shameema Ji, a resident of Pulwama, who Jamaat-e-Islami says is working for Indian intelligence agencies and playing a divisive role in misleading the public.
The organization warned against such elements and urged the public to remain vigilant against deceptive tactics aimed at tarnishing its reputation.
JI IIOJK reaffirmed its commitment to Islamic principles, justice, and societal uplift, emphasizing that its mission remains independent of any external influence that contradicts its values.
The JI highlighted that while it believes in peaceful and legal means to achieve its goals, it has ceased all activities due to the ban imposed on it.
The statement also expressed concern over the plight of its leadership, including Amir Dr. Hameed Fayaz and Political Bureau Chief Advocate Zahid Ali Lone, who have been imprisoned for several years.
Jamaat-e-Islami condemned the continued detention of its leaders and reiterated its resolve to uphold its principles despite the challenges.
The organization called on the public to reject misinformation campaigns and reaffirmed its dedication to serving the people of Jammu and Kashmir in accordance with its long-standing values and mission.
