Indian troops continue cordon and search operation in Kishtwar
Jammu: Indian forces’ personnel continued the cordon and search operation on the third consecutive day, today, in Kishtwar district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the cordon and search operation was launched by Indian army and paramilitary forces’ personnel on Wednesday in the Kanzal Mandu and Kuchal-Chatroo areas of the district.
The operation is backed by drones and sniffer dogs, with the cordon further strengthened by additional reinforcements of forces to track down three Kashmir liberation activists in the area. As per unconfirmed reports, one youth is believed to have been injured in the Indian forces’ firing.
Meanwhile, Indian forces’ personnel during the search operation have arrested two youth in Wagad crossing of Tral area of Pulwama district. The forces, dubbing the youth as Over Ground Workers, have claimed that both arrested persons were involved in providing logistical support and transporting arms and ammunition to the militants in Tral and Awantipora areas.
