APHC-AJK delegation meets Acting Speaker Punjab Assembly

Lahore: A delegation of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter met with the Acting Speaker of the Punjab Assembly, Malik Zaheer Iqbal Channar to discuss ongoing efforts in support of the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the delegation was led by APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi and included General Secretary Advocate Pervaiz Ahmad Shah and Sheikh Abdul Majid.
Several prominent figures from the Punjab Assembly, including former Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal, Rana Muhammad Arshad, Raheela Khadim Hussain, Bilal Akbar Khan, and other assembly members were present during the meeting.
In his remarks, Acting Speaker Malik Zaheer Iqbal Channar said, “Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan, and it cannot be allowed to remain under enemy occupation. The Pakistani nation pays tribute to the unparalleled sacrifices of the Kashmiri people.” He reiterated the Punjab Assembly’s commitment to advocating for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination on national and international platforms.
He further assured the delegation of the Punjab Assembly’s full participation in the Accession to Pakistan Day rally, being held today, July 19. Chanar highlighted the significance of the day as a reaffirmation of the historical and ideological bond between Pakistan and Kashmir.
The APHC-AJK delegation expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by the Speaker, ministers, and members of the assembly. They voiced optimism that Pakistan would continue to amplify the voice of Kashmiris on the global stage with increased resolve and clarity until their internationally recognized right to self-determination is achieved.
