Kashmiris reaffirm resolve for freedom on Accession to Pakistan Day

Muzaffarabad: Kashmiris across Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) commemorated Kashmir’s Accession to Pakistan Day today by holding rallies and seminars, renewing their firm commitment to the ongoing struggle for freedom and the right to self-determination.

According to Kashmir Media Service, a rally was organized by Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir in Muzaffarabad, where Kashmiri youth symbolically ratified the historic July 19, 1947 Resolution. This powerful act served as a testament to the unwavering resolve of Kashmiris, despite more than seven decades of Indian occupation and oppression.

Addressing the rally, speakers emphasized the people of Kashmir to remain steadfast in their demand for freedom and unification with Pakistan. They declared Pakistan not just an ally but the very heartbeat of Kashmiris and the principal party to the Kashmir dispute.

The rally was led by Pasban-e-Hurriyat Chairman Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, Vice Chairman Usman Ali Hashim, along with key leaders, including Hurriyat leader Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Muslim Conference’s Yasir Naqvi Advocate and refugee representatives Abdul Hameed Lone, Chaudhry Ferozuddin, Chaudhry Muhammad Ismail, Sarandaaz Mir, Faisal Farooq, Liaqat Ali Rana, Fayyaz Khan, Imtiaz Aziz, and Irshad Tantre.

Meanwhile, the students wing of Tehreek Shabab-ul-Muslimeen also held a rally to mark the historic day.

Speakers on the occasion recalled how on July 19, 1947, Kashmiri leaders in Srinagar unanimously passed a resolution in favour of accession to Pakistan, declaring it their natural and ideological destination. They reaffirmed their pledge to continue the freedom struggle until Kashmir is liberated from Indian imperialism and the vision of Pakistan’s completion is fulfilled.

Key participants of the rally were Chairman Munir Ahmed, Chief Organizer Naseer Mir, President Students Wing Riaz Ahmed Awan, General Secretary Zubair Durani, Chief Organizer of students wing Faizullah Durani, President Universities & Colleges Asif Durani, Media Advisor Arshad Awan, Social Media Advisor Imtiaz Awan, Shabbir Butt, Abdul Rehman Durani, Atiq Durani, Parvez Tantre, and Shahid Kazmi.

The day echoed with powerful slogans such as “Hum Pakistani Hain, Pakistan Hamara Hai”, “Pakistan Se Rishta Kya? La Ilaha Illallah”, and “Kashmir Banay Ga Pakistan”, resounding through the streets of Muzaffarabad—underscoring the Kashmiris’ unbreakable bond with Pakistan and their enduring aspiration for freedom.
