PDP’s fight is for Constitution, flag & special status: Iltija Mufti

Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party leader Iltija Mufti has reaffirmed the party’s core stance on political future of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Iltija Mufti talking to media person in Srinagar on the 26th Foundation Day of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Iltija Mufti said, “Our fight is not just for statehood; it’s for the special status, the Constitution, and the flag of Jammu and Kashmir.” She emphasised the PDP has maintained this position since the events of August 5, 2019.
She highlighted that the PDP emerged during one of the most challenging phases in IIOJK’s history and continues to be relevant in today’s challenging times.
“This day reminds us of the vision Mufti Sahab and Mehbooba had of peace with dignity and a healing touch for our people. That vision is more important now than ever,” she added.
In a subtle message to other political parties, she said, “When you talk only about statehood, you dilute the real issue. I appeal to all parties, including Congress and National Conference, to stand together for the restoration of J&K’s special status.”
She further said, “War is never an answer, it is only dialogue, reconciliation, and talks.”
